“Jess was brought to us in the most magical way. The universe knew we needed her. I met her with my partner down at the river in the summer. Us enjoying the sun and letting our dog swim, Jess on a nearby rock reading.
We started chatting about the area and soon about my pregnancy. Jess talked about her dreams of becoming a doula and instantly it became known it was her calling. It just so happened that I had exactly 4 months of my pregnancy left, and she had a 4-month doula program she was just heading in to. I thought “wow this is too good to be true”.
We talked about our love story, babies, kindness and support. Jess’s passion poured out of her. I knew this was meant to be. we exchanged information and discussed the possibilities of having her for our labour and delivery.
Little did I know it would be so much more.
The following months Jess came and taught us labouring positions, breathing exercises, and acupressure, we discussed herbal remedies, nutrition and so much more.
Jess showed up for myself and my partner physically, mentally and emotionally in so many different ways before the birth of our daughter, during and after. I had a long labour, Jess was incredible. She hand fed me, hydrated me, bathed me, made sure my partner got rest, the list goes on and on.
I can’t even start to imagine what the process would have been without her. I feel forever thankful for her. I couldn’t recommend her enough.
No one should have to go through bringing a baby into this world without a Jess.”

Jess was the most amazing Doula we could have asked for. We were slightly concerned when we had first met her as she had very few births under her belt, however, her knowledge and professional, yet friendly, attitude made us feel very comfortable with her. She treated us like we had been friends for years and she made my birth experience exactly what I was hoping for.
She reassured me along the way and answered all my questions and concerns. Any time I was feeling down she could lift me back up with a visit or a phone call. Her guidance through my birth was everything I needed and I could not have done it without her!
She will forever be in our hearts as someone who helped us bring our baby girl into the world and we cannot thank her enough.
